EDGAR SOSA

Edgar Sosa is the founder, CEO and Lead Consultant of the Manufacturing Excellence Institute®, he has a 25 year career working in several companies in the Automotive and Manufacturing industries in the United States and Mexico serving in Management leadership roles including Quality Assurance Manager, Manufacturing Manager and Plant Manager; in addition Mr. Sosa has academic experience as Professor of MBA students, he also worked as Graduate Assistant in the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and was elected and served as Vice Chair in the ASQ San Francisco, California section.

He has experience in diverse manufacturing processes including Assembly, Plastics Injection Molding, Fabrication, Machining, Glass and Stamping working with OEM’s, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers manufacturing various products including Electric Vehicles; he also has experience in Start-ups, Ramp-up Production, short term Turnaround Projects, launching new plants and products, implementation of quality systems and while working with tier 1 suppliers he provided launch support and technical customer service to major automotive OEM’s in the U.S. and Mexico including Toyota, GM, Ford, Chrysler and Tesla.


Mr. Sosa holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from New York University, a Master’s degree in Quality from IberoAmerican University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology, Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence and Six Sigma Black Belt.


MINERVA ORTEGA

Minerva Ortega, Administrative Director and Consultant of the Manufacturing Excellence Institute®, has 20 years of experience in several companies in the Manufacturing Industry in the United States and Mexico serving in Quality leadership roles with focus in Quality Systems leading and training Quality teams, successfully obtaining and maintaining ISO9001 and ISO/TS16949 certifications in various manufacturing plants, she also has experience in launching new products and provided onsite Customer Service to Automotive OEM customers including the Toyota plants in Texas and California, among others. She has a broad experience with suppliers, successfully performing Quality Assessments and qualifying suppliers for Mercedes-Benz.

Ms. Ortega’s experience is not limited to the manufacturing industry, she has a diverse knowledge and is the founder and CEO of Reto Bilingüe, an entity providing advice for parents raising bilingual children, in addition, she develops marketing campaigns, manages content for digital platforms and provides personal coaching.


Minerva holds a Master of Business Administration with major in Marketing from Tecmilenio University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Guadalajara University, in addition she is currently a student of a B.A. in Psychology at The Technological University of Mexico and has also been professor of university students at the Tecmilenio University.
